Kobe International Business Center provides space for warehousing, assembly, and manufacture (WAM), laboratories for research and development, and office space in a single building, enabling tenants to centralize a variety of operations including research and development, manufacturing, sales, distribution, and work management. The approach is an effective one for lowering both rent and the costs associated with labor, transport, and management. |

Business Support Center for Biomedical Research Activities (BMA) |

The Business Support Center for Biomedical Research Activities leases space to companies and research institutions involved in research and development or manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. In addition to providing special equipment that lies beyond the scope of what more typical services can provide (animal housing and experiment space, radioisotope testing facilities), the Center can accommodate equipment for human cell processing and offers joint-use equipment for sharing by tenants. By lowering the business risk to which its tenants are exposed, the Center is able to shorten the amount of time required to move from research and development to the commercial application of new technology. |

Translational Research Informatics Center (TRI) |

The Translational Research Informatics Center was the first research facility in Japan established to act as an information source for promoting translational research ranging from basic research to clinical applications. It seeks to play the role of a “control tower” for translational research with the ability to gather and disseminate relevant information through partnerships with research institutions operated by private industry, universities, and other organizations. It provides wet and dry laboratories that are fully equipped with research equipment. |

An intelligent structure that is fully compatible with today's advanced information society, the Kobe KIMEC Center Building leads the way in Port Island (Phase II) town planning. In addition to office space, the facility provides wet laboratories capable of accommodating a full range of biomedical experimentation (spread across the fifth, sixth, and seventh floors). |

Kobe Healthcare Industry Development Center is a publicly funded facility that leases space to tenants to facilitate the development and commercial application of new technologies in health, social welfare, and medical-related fields. A full-time Incubation Manager (IM) is available to assist tenant companies in commercializing their business plans. All leased space consists of ready-made wet laboratories, enabling companies to start their research and development programs immediately while holding down the initial investment burden. |

Kobe Incubation Office is a tenant-occupied building designed to function as a base from which venture companies can establish a presence at the Project and in the industry. The facility offers selective, effective results-oriented support such as assistance in developing sales channels. Gatherings such as networking events and hosted business discussions help match KIO tenants with partners inside and outside the facility, supporting the exchange of ideas and nurturing productive alliances. Management support such as assistance in streamlining office work is also close at hand. |

A publicly funded facility established to lease space to tenants, Kobe Medical Device Development Center was conceived to encourage the creation of new businesses in medical-related fields by advancing the improvement and evaluation of new medical devices and technologies such as regenerative medicine and minimally invasive treatments utilizing equipment such as catheters, stents, endoscopes, and laparoscopes. It also serves as a site for corporate promotional events designed to help popularize new products and technologies. |
